Funding Approach

The Foundation supports programs which meet a significant need within the community through entrepreneurial & innovative programs that provides a “hand-up” rather than “hand-out”. We look favorably upon collaboration and cooperation with other organizations working together.

FAQ

?

Will my application be acknowledged?

We do not acknowledge when an application has been submitted.

?

What are the chances of getting a grant?

Even if your project meets the basic criteria, it will most certainly be competing with other very worthwhile community projects. In any given year, with the limited funds that may be available to the Foundation due to multi-year commitments, a project may be declined.

?

When will I be notified if my application is granted?

Funding decisions are typically made in the later part of November. Only those receiving grants will be notified in the mail by mid-December of the granting year.

?

How can I arrange a meeting with the Hunter Family Foundation?

An email is the best way to make an enquiry. We will make our best effort to answer your questions. As a small family operation, we prefer to receive information on your project and then determine if a meeting would be helpful.
