Established in 1984 with an investment of $200,000, the Hunter Family Foundation is a private Foundation based in Calgary, Alberta. The Foundation was started by H. Douglas Hunter as a gift to his wife, Diane, who had been involved in the volunteer sector for many years. To date it has assisted charitable organizations in the Calgary region by over 55 million dollars.
